As teens juggle school, friends, sports, and screen time, staying healthy can feel overwhelming. But the truth is — it doesn’t have to be complicated. Small, daily habits can have a huge impact on energy, mood, focus, and long-term wellness.

Here are 5 healthy habits every teen should start today:

 
1. Eat More Whole Foods
Ditch the ultra-processed snacks when you can, and aim for more fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins. Your body and brain will thank you with more consistent energy and better focus.

2. Skip Sugary Drinks
Sodas, energy drinks, and even juice can overload your system with sugar. Instead, hydrate with water, sparkling water, or homemade smoothies.

3. Move Every Day
You don’t need a gym membership — just aim for 60 minutes of movement daily. Walking, dancing, sports, biking, or even stretching counts.

4. Get Quality Sleep
Most teens need 8–10 hours of sleep a night. Power down screens 30 minutes before bed, stick to a consistent bedtime, and create a calming nighttime routine.

Consistency is key. Build a daily rhythm that includes time for meals, movement, rest, and screen breaks. Even simple routines reduce stress and improve well-being.
