Mission: Park Pediatrics is a patient centered medical home , dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our pediatric and adolescent patients. We provide accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based care in a respectful and culturally diverse-environment. We promote the physical and mental well-being of all of our patients, so that every child who walks through our doors can achieve his or her greatest potential in life. We feel strongly about promoting school success and incorporate the Reach Out & Read Program into well child visits. Our pediatricians give a developmentally and culturally appropriate book to all our children at their health check-ups starting from 6 months to 5 years of age.
Vision: Park pediatrics aims to provide the best quality of pediatric and adolescent care. We will be the leading pediatric patient centered medical home in the region, improving the health of our patients and community.
Sithanandam Sadhasivam, M.D
Sith Sadhasivam, M.D. completed his pediatric residency and neonatal intensive care fellowship at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. After practicing neonatal medicine for over 15 years, Dr. Sadhasivam founded Park Pediatrics in 1995. Dr. Sadhasivam served as the chair of pediatrics at Washington Adventist Hospital from 2008-2011. He lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and enjoys spending his time with his five grandchildren.
Lavanya Sithanandam, M.D
Lavanya Sithanandam, M.D. completed medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois followed by pediatric residency at one of the nation’s top ranked children’s hospitals, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. Dr. Sithanandam is the medical director at Park Pediatrics and the director of their Reach Out & Read Program. She is a strong advocate for her patients, fluent in Spanish and is certified by the International Society of Travel Medicine. She is currently serving as the vice chair of pediatrics for Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown, MD. Dr. Sithanandam also serves on the board of directors of the African Mothers Health Initiative. She is happily married with two beautiful sons.
Kathryn Stigliano, MD
Kathryn grew up in New Jersey but has called Washington, DC home for the last 14 years. She attended the George Washington University, earning her undergraduate degree in Archaeology, and she returned to GW to complete her medical school training. She then completed her pediatric residency training at the top-ranked Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, as a member of the primary care track. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her plants, reading, cooking, and traveling.
Louise Wong, M.D.
Louise Wong M.D. grew up in Brooklyn, New York and went to college at Georgetown University, where she majored in biology. She received her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. She then completed her pediatric residency training at top ranked Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and cheering on her favorite basketball team, the Georgetown Hoyas. Louise is also fluent in Cantonese.
Izumi Suzuki M.D.
Izumi Suzuki grew up in Northern Virginia and earned an undergraduate degree at UVA, majoring in chemistry. She completed medical school at Eastern Virginia and her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies in Cleveland in June 2020. Since then she has been working as an outpatient pediatrician and newborn nursery hospitalist at the University Hospitals Medical Practices in Cleveland, OH. She is excited to join Park Peds and return to the DMV area.
Oyindamola Ajewole, MD
Oyindamola Ajewole, M.H.S., M.D. was born in Nigeria but grew up in Baltimore, MD. She attended the University of MD College Park and earned an undergraduate degree in Neurobiology & Physiology. Dr. Oyin received her masters in health sciences and medical degree at Meharry Medical College. She recently completed her pediatric residency at Penn State’s Children’s Hospital.
Sherrybel Mendoza, NP
Sherrybel Mendoza Biswas is a family nurse practitioner who has worked in Takoma Park, MD serving children and teens in the community. She is currently pursuing a doctorate as a nurse practitioner and specializing in childhood obesity.
Johanna Kaufman, M.D
Johanna grew up on Long Island just outside of New York City and had always dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she completed both her undergraduate and medical school training at Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating, she transitioned to a different Washington when she completed her pediatric residency training at the top-ranked Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, as a member of their primary care track. She currently lives in Washington, DC, with her soon-to-be husband.
Nicole Du, MD
Nicole Du, MD is originally from the Hoosier state and left the Midwest to attend college and medical school at Georgetown University. She is a current resident in Pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time outside with her dog.
Kathleen Breuninger CPNP, MPH
Kathleen received her dual master’s degree in advanced practice nursing and public health from Johns Hopkins University. She was a hematology, oncology, BMT nurse at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC for five years before. She has a passion for international health and pediatrics. Kathleen loves to travel and go on adventures with her husband and dog.
Jordan Azinger PA
Jordan was born and raised in central Iowa. She attended the University of Iowa for her bachelor’s degree and then the University of New England for her Master of Physician Assistant Studies, graduating in May 2017. Jordan spent the first two years of her career at an outpatient pediatric primary care and urgent care practice in western Massachusetts. Her passions in pediatric medicine include preventative medicine and developmental disorders. In her free time she enjoys reading, cycling, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her boyfriend and their newly adopted cat.
Amanda Polhemus, CPNP-PC
Amanda grew up in Atlanta, GA. She has a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in Human and Organizational Development on the Health and Human Services Track, and a Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN. After graduation, she relocated to Washington, D.C. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, cooking, and exploring new places.
Celine Pascual, CPNP-PC
Celine graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She was a mother-baby nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore for four years before graduating from Duke University in 2020 with a post-master’s certificate in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care. She is fluent in Tagalog and an advocate for breastfeeding. Celine loves exploring and learning about different cultures through travel with her husband and two kids, cooking, and relaxing.
Cecilia Martinez, Office Manager
Cecilia was born and raised in El Salvador. She received her medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Santa Ana. After completing training in both general Pediatrics and Neonatology in El Salvador she spent several years as a practicing physician. She moved to the United States to seek new opportunities for growth in her medical career. Cecilia is currently the clinical care manager at Park Pediatrics helping patients find additional resources to manage their care. She works with our patients with chronic health care issues and helps our providers to to
more effectively manage their care. She is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English. Outside of her medical career, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and working in her garden
Nancy Lòpez, Clinical Care Coordinator
is originally from El Salvador. She worked as a physician there and is currently studying for her Masters in Health Care Administration. In her free time she loves doing outdoor activities, reading, and participating in a variety of sports.
Carla Figueroa, Clinical Care Coordinator
Carla Figueroa was born in the sunny state of California in the city of Los Angeles. She Lived in her parent’s home country El Salvador, Central America for four years and was raised in Silver Spring,MD. Carla is fluent in Spanish. Carla is happily married and is a devoted mother of four beautiful children. She enjoys working in the medical field and is pursuing a nursing degree at Washington Adventist University located in Takoma Park , Maryland. Her lifelong dream is to travel around the world some day.
Jyothi Injeti, Billing Manager
Jyothi Injeti is the billing manager at Park Pediatrics. She joined our medical practice in 2003 as a receptionist. Jyothi is the proud parent of two children. In her free time she enjoys cooking and watching Telegu movies.

Our physicians are affiliated with both Washington Adventist Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital. If you are delivering at either of these hospitals, our physicians, once notified by your labor and delivery nurse, will visit your baby within 24 hours of birth..
We also have a strong relationship with Children’s National Medical Center and often refer our patients who need specialty care to the specialists at Children’s Hospital
